Who Am I- Chantelle
Who Am I?
Name: Charmelaine Chantelle
A little history: I moved to Hawaii in 2013. I was born and raised in the Philippines which makes me fluent in Ilocano and Tagalog. After graduating in 2017 from Hawaii Medical College, I got hired right away at PRC. PRC is my first ever job in the medical field.
What do you do in your free time: I like making videos, taking photos and watching K-drama. I also try to do volunteer work at school or the community if there’s an opportunity.
What do you do for PRC:
I am a medical assistant II. It is my job to prepare patients to see the doctor. This is from taking their history, taking eye pressure, dilating, scribing and up to assisting doctor with injections and laser procedures.
How long have you been working at PRC: 1+ year
What is your favorite thing about PRC: “EVERYTHING” -From the people I work with and up to that fulfilling moment when you get to help a patient. For example, when I get to translate for the people who could not speak English very well in order for the doctor to better assist them with their eye problems. Moreover, I love the fact that I get to learn new things every day because truly, “The more we learn, the less we know.”
