Pacific Retina Care(sm) wishes you and yours a safe and prosperous New Year’s Eve and New Year! We ended 2012 with a bang! Now that we have more staff members, we decided to close the office early today to celebrate together. Our staff were much too kind to each other during our White Elephant gift exchange. But everybody enjoyed it. We also had a chili cook-off, followed by lunch. The most interesting and different chili won. Tes made this delicious creamy white chili with lentils. The recipe, which she found online, called for chicken but she used ground beef. It was amazing! I hope that she enjoys her William Sonoma gift card.
Speaking of celebrations, I wanted to share with you the most amazing celebration of lights in Hawaii. I stumbled upon this article on the Yoshida family who live here in Waikele. For the past 20 years they have been generously sharing their creative light displays with the community. In addition to their elaborate light display choreographed to music, the Yoshida’s collect donations for charity. Their neighbors patiently tolerate the crowds. One neighborhood child even passed out candy canes to us last night! For an awesome sampling of this Waikele display, click on the link above. And for even more light and display treats, visit the next street above Anapau Place. On Hopoe Place every single neighbor displays beautifully detailed lights! What a thrilling treat! I hope that you have time to enjoy these displays before they are taken down until next year. Happy Holidays!
